Dear Gatekeepers,

No matter what storms we face in this life, the joy of the Lord is our strength! During the first day of the conference in Wakiso the heavens opened and the tents were torn up from the ground, but we stood together in torrential rain and strong winds and danced and worshipped till we saw our merciful God cause the storm to pass.  We were contending for the position of the church and for God to establish us in righteousness. The tents were all quickly re-assembled  and despite the violence of the storm we continued with all at the conference rejoicing in the goodness of God. What is established in righteousness bears fruit to the glory of God!

Dear Gatekeepers,

IMITATORS OF GOD’S LOVE

“Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” Ephesians 5:1

His love flows through our lives releasing and producing holiness, righteousness and purity for right living. This month I am reminded of how many of our wonderful GGM partners are a fragrant and enduring example of God’s love despite facing challenges, trials and suffering in their personal or ministry situations.  Truly, our Jesus is worth every ounce of our beings as we seek to live in His love.  This month join with me in rejoicing in the 3,000 new converts and 5 new church plants.

Dear Gatekeepers,

Well the sun is shining in Scotland (finally!) this beautiful morning after about pouring down incessantly upon us every day in May. Continuous grey skies have a way of dampening the enthusiasm of even the cheeriest of souls! However, during the non-stop drizzle it occurred to me how some countries are crying out for rain and yet here we have an over abundance.  Our perspective is so often affected by our needs or wants whether they are real, perceived, physical, emotional, mental or spiritual.

NEW SALVATIONS DECEMBER = 189          NEW TOTAL = 30,152         CHURCH PLANTS = 69

Life is full of surprises, and in our faith journey things do not always work out as we had anticipated, prayed or planned for. Such moments require a faith response in us. We can choose to give in to self-pity or we can trust the goodness of God to move us beyond delay into divinely inspired destiny.  Disappointment has the potential to cause confusion, loss of focus and even the wavering of our faith, yet such occasions also present themselves as a potential bridge of grace upon which we walk with delight with our Master. It is only by the grace of God that we avoid life’s pitfalls and continue to move forward in the wonderful plans God has for us.
